Welcome to Finding Dolma, a platform dedicated to raising awareness and collecting crucial information about the disappearance of an 82-year-old Asian woman from Evanston, a suburb in Chicago.

Tsering "Dolma" Wangyal went missing on July 15, 2024 and was last seen at the Levy Senior Center at 300 Dodge Avenue, Evanston, IL.  â€‹Dolma speaks limited English (native Tibetan speaker) and is vulnerable due to her age and health conditions, including cognitive decline / borderline dementia - accordingly, a silver alert was issued.

The family, with the help of friends and colleagues, law enforcement, concerned community and citizens at large, has been working tirelessly to find her.  Despite door-to-door, area grid searches, media publicity and ongoing outreach to hospitals, shelters and community organizations, there has been limited qualified leads.

This website includes a gallery of photos, aimed at helping people recognize her and potentially generate leads on her whereabouts.  The community is urged to spread the word, share the website link, and contribute in any way possible to help find Dolma and reunite her with her family. Please share any information you have by emailing at the link below or reaching out the Skokie Police Department at (847) 987-5900.

Join us in our mission to spread the word, gather leads, and bring Dolma home.

Tsering "Dolma" Wangyal

Tsering Dolma Wangyal left her home on July 15, 2024 at 3:54 pm to attend a memorial service at her community center located at the intersection of Dempster and McCormick, in Evanston, IL. Unfortunately, she had taken the wrong bus and is seen at the Levy Senior Center, a few blocks south of the intended destination at approximately 6pm.

The video footage from the Levy Senior Center shows Dolma visibly confused, anxious and distraught. She had sought assistance but was unable to receive any due to language barriers. Since that evening, there has been no credible leads or sightings of her.  The family is asking anyone with any information, big or small, to reach out.
